

So Bb mixolydian actually contains the same notes as an Eb major scale, since it's the fifth seat of that scale (again I might have misenterpreted the whole "seat" thing). I'm guessing by "the fifth seat of B major", you mean playing a B major scale from the fifth note in the scale, which would mean F# mixolydian. Ok, for starters I'm compleatly new here, and second, I'm from Sweden so our "language of theory" might differ a bit (Just tell me if I misunderstood something).

but it's called the modes of major and if you learn them you could unlock great bass playing :). The fifth seat of B major is Bb mixolydian.
